Utilities from 19 different countries already registered for the 10th edition of the International Benchmarking exercise (IB2015). Interested utilities can still register.

From early May onwards the EBC platform will be open for the participants and data entry starts officially. However registration for IB2015 is still possible! The data entry period will run to 15 July. Be aware that late registration might reduce the time available for the data entry.

Objective of IB2015, is to benchmark drinking water- and wastewater activities with data of 2015. Next to a thorough assessment of a utility’s performance, EBC offers participants a platform/utility network to improve their services by learning from leading/best practices and innovations.

Other objectives are:

  • to raise transparency of drinking water- & wastewater services;
  • to enable comparing performance data with other data sources (such as IB-Net, the World Bank’s global database for water- & sanitation services);
  • to interest potential new partners (individual utilities, national water utility associations, etc.) to join and to strengthen the utility benchmarking network.

IB2015 will run from mid-April to mid-December 2016. Interested utilities can register until the 22th of April 2016. The exercise has started with an Orientation- & Training workshop (in particular for those who are new to benchmarking) on 15 April 2016 in Copenhagen.
