In the framework of its European benchmarking- and improvement programme for water services, EBC Foundation is preparing the 18th edition of its annual benchmarking exercises. We cordially invite water- and wastewater utilities from across Europe and beyond to join the exercise, which covers both an extensive performance assessment and performance improvement activities.
The exercise consists of the following steps:
• orientation & training (upon request)
• kick-off
• data collection
• data validation
• draft reporting
• benchmarking workshop
• final reporting
The assessment part analyses a utility’s performance in all parts of the value chain and covers water quality (quality of wastewater treatment), reliability, service quality, sustainability, finance & efficiency, asset management and progress towards the UN SDGs.
The benchmarking workshop, in which participants gather to discuss assessment results, good practices and innovations, will be hosted by SMAT water utility in Turin, Italy (preliminary date: 6-8 November 2024).
